The Gambia
The Gambia is a small, cigar-shaped country in west Africa.
Many tourists come to enjoy its warm climate and its magnificent beaches fronting the Atlantic.
But the Gambia has much more to offer: old colonial architecture in the capital, Banjul; a wildlife sanctuary; colorful markets; and its fantastic music (the African megastar, Youssou N'dour, comes from the Gambia).
